HFMA 2026: The Relationships That Shaped This Journey

Our greatest professional accomplishments aren't measured by titles, revenue, or growth charts. They're measured by the people we impact along the way.
This week, I'm attending the annual HFMA conference at National Harbor for the first time as the founder of 5 Stones Growth Systems. As I walked the conference floor, I found myself reflecting on how much of this journey has been shaped by relationships.
Over the past few days, I've had the opportunity to reconnect with organizations that played a significant role in shaping my career and influencing the framework behind 5 Stones Growth Systems. I've spent time with leaders I've admired, colleagues I've learned from, and professionals I've had the privilege of mentoring throughout the years.
One of the highlights has been spending time with Clint Jones, FHFMA - CEO and Founder at Aureum. As an early-stage startup, Aureum is in the exciting phase of building something meaningful from the ground up. It has been an honor to work alongside Clint and the team as they shape their go-to-market strategy and lay the foundation for future growth.
Every chapter of my career has been influenced by people who invested in me, challenged me, opened doors, shared wisdom, and trusted me to help them grow their businesses. Those relationships ultimately became part of the foundation for the work we do today at 5 Stones Growth Systems.
As I look around HFMA this week, I'm filled with gratitude—for the mentors, the colleagues, the clients, the founders, and the friends who have been part of this journey. The older I get, the more convinced I become that our greatest professional accomplishments aren't measured by titles, revenue, or growth charts.
They're measured by the people we impact along the way.
Feeling incredibly blessed and grateful for this season.
