Da 3 Hole Challenge: Golf, Fellowship, and a 30-Year Friendship

Any day on the golf course is a good day. When you get to spend it with an old friend who knows how to lead a great conversation, it’s even better.

I had the opportunity today to reconnect with my longtime friend Felando Clark at my club, Irish Creek, to film an episode of his Da 3 Hole Challenge. Felando and I have known each other for more than 30 years, but it had been far too long since we had spent time together. From the moment we got together, it felt like we picked up right where we left off.

The golf? Let’s just say my game wasn’t exactly camera ready today. 😂 But that really wasn’t the point. It was about the fellowship, the conversation, and reconnecting with an old friend. And the conversation was fantastic.

We talked about our history together, my journey over the years, why I wrote Health Tech Giant Slayer, and the work we’re doing today at 5 Stones Growth Systems.

I also really appreciated the way Felando used his platform to shine a light on both the book and the business. He gave me the opportunity to tell the story behind them rather than simply promote them, and that made for a great conversation.

What Felando is building with Da 3 Hole Challenge is pretty special. He’s using golf as the backdrop to bring together people, stories, business, relationships, and the Charlotte community. I’m grateful I got to be part of it.

Great day. Great conversation. Great friend.
