When I moved into Connect Labs by Wexford a few months ago, I knew I was putting 5 Stones Growth Systems in the middle of a growing healthcare innovation ecosystem. What I’m beginning to see is something even bigger.
A culture is forming.
What The Events Keep Showing
The more events we have at The Pearl, the more I see real relationships developing between founders who are building innovative companies and the people who come alongside them to help those companies grow. Friday night was another great example.

The People In The Room
I’m privileged to work alongside founders like Rob Capozziello, who is helping revolutionize how patients move through spine care, and to spend time with Rob and his wife, Madelon Capozziello. At the same time, I get to collaborate with people like Olga Muller, Olga Ryzhikova and Josh Pappas, who are equally committed to supporting founders and strengthening the healthcare innovation community around them.
That combination matters.
Not Built In Isolation
Great healthcare companies aren't built in isolation. They need ideas, capital, experience, relationships, encouragement, and a community willing to help them succeed.
That’s what I see beginning to take shape at The Pearl. Not just a collection of companies sharing a campus, but an ecosystem of people who genuinely want to see one another succeed and healthcare innovation move forward.
And I think we’re still in the early innings.
For healthcare founders and innovators in Charlotte and across the Southeast, there is something special being built here. I’m grateful to have a small part in it and excited to see where it goes.
